Summary

As Jesus makes His way to Golgotha and is nailed upon a cross in Mark 15:10-40, several groups gather around Him who observe and react to these events. As we study who is there and why, we see how this is still relevant today and consider how we also respond to Jesus and what He did on the cross.

0:05.9	the study. Chapter 15, I only got through verse 20 on Wednesday night. So we still have some work to do.
0:11.4	We're sort of moseying through Mark, but we have some work to do. Well, Lord willing, finish up Mark

0:33.0	What I'd like to do simply this morning is, you know, like we did last week, we kind of read through the whole chapter and we've been just meditating on this section of the scriptures about the cross.
0:35.4	And a lot of things to think about and discuss.
0:39.4	And last week, you know, we saw the whole story,
0:42.0	but I'd like to take a look this morning at the people around the cross.
0:44.3	What were they all doing there?
0:45.6	Why were they there?
0:46.4	And what was their objective?
0:48.5	And we're going to find there were people
0:50.0	who were there out of hatred.
0:51.9	We're going to find there were people there out of love.
0:54.8	There were people that were there around the cross out of, you know, being compelled.
0:59.4	They had to be there whether they liked it or not. And then there were others who were there
1:03.6	just coincidentally, you know, just kind of accidentally stumbled on a weird situation back in
1:08.2	the first century. And I find that those same types of people
1:12.3	are around the cross to this very day.
1:15.1	And we'll see how that relates as we look at this.
