Summary

Peace. Most of us are surrounded by an utter lack of Peace. The world around us is more and more chaotic with uncertainty and anxiety at every turn. Looking back at the world it looks as if things have always been this way and always will be; until we catch a glimpse of a young woman giving birth to a Savior and the angels proclaiming, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" — In week one of our new series, The Missing Peace Pastor Louie Giglio wants us to remember that there is someone who brings Peace. He is the Prince of Peace; our Shalom in the storm. His name is Jesus, and He came not just to bring you life, but to bring you peace. What a miracle, what a savior, what a Peacemaker.

0:21.2	The missing piece. So the question underlying this series for me is where is
0:29.0	the piece. All across this nation, even nominal churchgoers are going to be
0:37.0	entering into the Christmas spirit. And everybody knows that there's a phrase
0:41.8	called peace on earth and goodwill to men on whom his favor rests. But where is
0:49.6	the piece? It's all kind of started for me a few months back at PassionCamp. We
0:55.7	were in this amazing environment with over 5,000 middle school and high school
1:01.8	students, but down the road for me was a friend of mine. And he brought several
1:06.7	fathers and sons from his church to join us at PassionCamp. And one of the
1:14.4	fathers was standing next to a high school son who the father had recently
1:19.3	discovered on his son's computer a goodbye letter to their family. And this
1:27.9	young high schooler had come to a place in his life living in a great city,
1:34.9	great family, great environment that the peace factor had worn so thin and the
1:44.2	non-peace or the anti-peace factor had become so great. There's a high school
1:50.7	student he had decided I think I'm just going to say goodbye to the world and
1:58.1	goodbye to my family. And on this particular day the son didn't know that the
2:03.1	dad had found this letter. And they hadn't had a moment yet to bridge the gap,
2:09.4	but that did happen later in the week. I'm happy to tell you. And as a
2:14.1	follow-up six months later I'm happy to tell you that that high school
