All right, let's jump in. This is now the Apostle Paul writing to the church in Philippi,

0:06.4

and in chapter four, he exhorts them and says to them this, verse six, be anxious for nothing,

0:17.0

but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

0:27.9

And verse 7, this is key, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

0:41.2

I like how another translation renders it that this peace that surpasses human understanding will

2:02.6

2:09.6

as one said, glide and abide.

2:12.6

Oh, how I wish that were the case.

2:15.6

It might have something to do with my upbringing, my personality,

2:20.3

my temperament, but I am as prone as anyone to be given over to worry. I like to say that I'm

2:33.3

a recovering worryaholic if there is such a thing, and if there

2:38.1

isn't, I just invented it.

2:40.2

So I'm just prone to worry.
