So I've been anticipating today's prophecy update for a couple of reasons, one of which is that I want to talk about something today that ties into the celebration of the Lord's table. On the first Sunday of each month, as we have for many years, we partake together of communion.

I'm looking forward to doing that today.

I know that we have a number of people online that wait for us to partake together with us somewhere, anywhere in the world.

And we're certainly rejoicing in that.

But we're going to do something just a little bit different.

And I want for us to take a step back from the proverbial forest of Bible prophecy, as it were, so we can better see the tree.

I want to begin by sharing the bigger picture of why it is that we do these weekly prophecy updates and have since 2006, actually.

That's when the Lord had really ministered to me and impressed upon my heart that we were entering into a period of time in human history that was the likes of which we had never seen before.

It was at this time that I commenced with doing just a, it was like, if you can imagine this,

it was like a 10-minute prophecy update, and it was right at the beginning before we, you know, had our expositional teaching in God's Word.

And in 2006, we were actually in the Gospel of Matthew. Man, that was a long time ago, right?

Since that time, there have been numerous developments that have had such prophetic significance,

and it led to an increase in the amount of time that we had devoted to the prophecy updates.

So here we are 11 years later.

And I would argue, and I think you would agree,

that we're witnessing key prophecies in the Bible

that are beginning to come to pass at breakneck speed like never before.

I was reflecting back on when we first started doing the prophecy updates, and it wouldn't

take me that long, and sometimes I would, you know, do it on a Thursday or a Friday.

Do you realize that I have to wait till like the 11th hour on Saturday to do the prophecy

update because so much is happening?
