0:17.2	Today is a good day because today we're in Psalm 16. And Psalm 16 is one of my all-time favorite Psalms.
0:20.1	It stirs my soul to trust in God.
0:22.5	If you made a greatest hits of the book of Psalms, this one definitely makes the cut.
0:26.5	At least it does if I'm the one making the list.
0:28.7	And yet a lot of people don't know Psalm 16 very well.
0:31.8	So let's go through it and of course think about how it applies to us. But let's also let it
0:36.8	drive our hearts to trust in God. So here's how it starts. Keep me safe my God for in you I take refuge.
0:44.1	We know that David wrote this Psalm, but we don't know the circumstances he was facing at the time.
0:49.1	All we know is that he was under some kind of threat.
0:52.1	We don't know if the threat came from another person or
0:54.4	from some difficult circumstances in his life or maybe it was a health issue or
0:58.6	maybe he felt like he was under spiritual attack. We don't know the specific
1:02.2	circumstances but maybe that's good because it
1:04.8	allows us to insert ourselves into this verse. No matter what fears you have, seek
1:10.4	safety in God by taking refuge in Him.
1:14.0	Because a lot of people use digital Bibles,
1:16.6	whether it's on an e-reader like a Kindle
1:18.6	or the U-version app or something like Bible gateway.com,
1:22.2	we know the verses that they go to more than any other.
