Summary

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO

What happens when a law enforcement background meets the world of the paranormal?

Greg Lawson, known as The Paranormal Detective, brings decades of experience from criminal justice into his work investigating the unexplained. With a focus on critical thinking and real-world investigation techniques, he approaches paranormal claims from a perspective grounded in both evidence and experience.

Greg shares how his background shapes the way he evaluates hauntings, possessions, and other unexplained events, along with the cases that have stood out over the years. From situations that may have logical explanations to those that raise deeper questions, his work often sits at the intersection of mental health, human behavior, and the paranormal.

It’s a look at what happens when investigative methods meet the unknown—and how some cases challenge the boundaries between life, death, and understanding.

What sort of cases, I'd love to hear an example if you have one, that you came across when investigating claims of demons or something in that category, ghosts, paranormal, things of that nature when it was a mental health call, where you did walk away from that, or as you

0:22.5

investigated, you really kind of got perplexed and you felt maybe there is something more than

0:28.1

a mental illness going on here. Well, there's a lot of that with like charismatic or

0:35.0

Pentecostal churches. And you end up having somebody.

0:39.6

The interesting thing is,

0:41.0

and I'm going to fall back,

0:42.1

I was going to get a degree in psychology

0:44.1

until I realized I didn't want to hear

0:45.8

your freaking problems.

0:47.1

Yeah.

0:48.7

I was like,

0:49.4

oh,

0:49.6

that's kind of self-serving there.

0:51.1

Maybe I shouldn't be a psychologist.

0:53.7

And,

0:53.8

yeah. So I shouldn't be a psychologist. And so I look at this stuff

0:59.8

in a different way. And the interesting thing about these experiences is they're typically

1:10.1

contemporary to today's society right they

1:13.9

they're it's typically related to today's technology so if you when I was when I

1:22.6

was working as a mental health officer I if you're working midnight, you know, it could be busy up until 2 o'clock in the morning,

1:33.0

and then after 2 o'clock, it's pretty nothing moving, nothing going on.
