All right. Let's, I mean, people know you, you know, for years, you now, you have been at the forefront of the paleo movement.

I think, you know, most people know who you are, but just talk about your kind of overall

philosophy and principles and what you do.

I'll try to keep it super brief.

I'm going to turn 50 next year and I find I do the wandering old man thing really, really

well.

So, you know, academically I did an undergrad in biochemistry and was looking at

either an MD or a PhD track kind of in cancer and autoimmunity related issues. And it was right

around that time. I had a pretty severe health crisis. I developed ulcerative colitis so bad that I was

facing a bowel resection.

And I'm about 170 pounds right now at the low web of my ulcerative colitis.

I was about 125, 130 pounds.

So I'm pretty scrawny right now.

If you imagine 50 pounds less of me, like there wasn't a lot there.

And it was an interesting set of circumstances that in trying to figure out what was going on with my ulcerative colitis, it ultimately brought me to this kind of paleo or ancestral health kind of model. And it just changed everything that I was up to. And then also right around this time. So it was 1998 that I kind of got

into this paleo diet concept. It was 2000, 2001. I was casting around on the interwebs

and found this weird workout called CrossFit. And I started doing some CrossFit stuff with
