Summary
Possibly a new record for episode duration, which we know is nothing really to be proud of, but our excuse is that we have author, golf lover and all-round overachiever Richard Osman joining us to discuss television, writing, podcasting and most importantly golf. Eddie is down under preparing for the Australian PGA championship and while he looks ahead to that, with his over-lofted putter, he also reflects on the likely departure of friend Laurie Canter to LIV and we try to answer the question: Who is the world number 47?

| 0:00.0 | It's time now for the chipping forecast, in association with Peter Millar, brought to you by Andrew Cotter, Eddie Pepperel, and welcome to the chipping forecast. |
| 0:28.8 | I'm Andrew Carter, and I'm speaking loudly and clearly this week at a consistent level, |
| 0:33.0 | because I've been told again that I mumble, and it's very annoying and hard to hear. |
| 0:38.3 | For somebody who spends a lot of time shouting very loudly over sport, this is unacceptable. |
| 0:42.6 | I do, however, tend to mumble a little bit and just drop my levels. |
| 0:47.8 | So I'm going to try and do things at a more consistent level. |
| 0:52.5 | I don't know what happened to my accent while I was doing that. |
| 0:54.2 | It all became rather affected. Anyway, Eddie Pepprell, who is just, he's always a consistent level in his, when I see, and usually we've got an editor to do it, Patrick will be editing this today, which is going to be quite a complicated one for Patrick, because we've got a special guest coming on. But when the files come in, if I'm editing and I see it, Eddie is at this, a remarkably |
| 1:14.0 | consistent level. His waveform, his audio waveform is just at one level. It's remarkable. It is |
| 1:20.7 | an absolute antithesis of his form, which if you show a waveform of that, it would just be here, there and everywhere. |
| 1:29.9 | But Eddie is in Australia. |
| 1:31.4 | How are you, Eddie? |
| 1:32.2 | And you're strangely, I don't know what that is, aluminium room that you're in. |
| 1:36.4 | Yeah, it's, well, I'm saying quite a nice hotel, but the decor is certainly, well, I guess different. |
| 1:44.1 | But it's fine. And I'm enjoying my time in Brisbane. I arrived here on Saturday evening. And I had a lovely walk around the city on Sunday. I walked for about three hours, which was great. And I've got to say, nice to be back in Australia. I do think this is a great place. So, yeah, I'm enjoying my time. How was the flight? Sorry, Ian Carter, |
| 2:02.6 | let's bring Ian Carter in our regular special guest because we've got a super duper special guest |
| 2:06.1 | coming on, but Ian, hi, hey, hey, hey, you. Hey, hi, hi, just riding a wave of triumph. You know, |
| 2:13.1 | obviously Eddie winning back his DP World Tour card, me winning the media competition in Dubai, |
| 2:22.8 | and now you winning House of Games. |
| 2:24.7 | These are heady, heady days for Tijuana. |
| 2:27.0 | It wasn't a dominant display, though. |
| 2:28.8 | We'll get on to that maybe later on. |
