that's been nominated for best picture for the upcoming Oscars ceremony that's happening

as we're dropping this tomorrow night that it will be happening there and there will be

world talking about West Side Story and the outlaw John Roca and I'm joined by my

centerfiles co-host and brother life Steve Morris how are you Steve I am doing

really well I feel like we're tapping my toes I maybe do some fight dancing I'm

ready for this let's do it yeah listen this is the remake well remake yes and

also reinterpretation I think might be a better kind of a description for this

version of West Side Story that combines the original play that was there

before the musical came out and combines the musical as well with the original

play so a new approach to this story a modernized approach to this story even

though it's set still back in the 1950s more of a Latino angle to this story more

of respect to Latino community and the the characters that are Latino in this

movie or in these in this piece of work here and this one from director Steven

Spielberg and I got to say Steve right off the bat I was one of those people

that was like I do not want to see this in no way shape or form I think there's

going to be any good how do you think you would top the original which I think

had one 10 Oscars back in the early 1960s how can you possibly think you're

going to do it and I'll be damned if they didn't do it from the acting to the

direction to the cinematography to the music to the look of the film and the
