0:16.7	you've probably heard me say that the permit is my favorite fish. It definitely is my favorite
0:21.6	fish, and I really, really do like to fish for them. A lot of people have permit as one of their
0:27.4	lifelong fish that they would like to catch. Many people in South Florida live where there
0:33.6	are permit, either offshore or inshore, and they are available to more people
0:38.3	than a lot of people think.
0:40.1	You can go to Mexico, you can go to a lot of places in the Caribbean, have permit, but
0:46.9	the Florida Keys seems to reign supreme as it comes to guides that fish for permit regularly,
0:57.7	and also numbers of fish, numbers of shot, size of fish,
1:04.2	having them both inshore and offshore. Lots of great places to permit fish. I find that the Florida Keys is probably the best, but I haven't fished everywhere. I'm really excited to go
1:08.9	fish in Mexico and would like to do that.
1:12.3	Many people have asked me about the rig that I use for permit fishing.
1:18.9	And it's very simple rig. You're using something as bait that has physical weight.
1:26.3	So that makes the rig very simple.
1:28.4	The bait is a live blue crab.
1:31.9	We can get live blue crabs at bait shops.
1:35.0	They sell them at the bait shop.
1:36.9	You can also catch your own pretty easily.
1:41.1	The live blue crab is the number one bait for permit.
1:45.9	It's the number one bait for a couple of reasons.
