Welcome to a special edition of House of Rugby, brought to you by Joe, together with Guinness.

You won't be surprised to hear we have reached our summer recess. So while the boys are off

sunning themselves, we thought we'd bring you a series of best of episodes looking back at a fairly

chaotic last nine months. Over the next hour or so you'll hear from the likes of Nick Kennedy,

Rob Vickerman, Billy Van Apola, Mike Tendell, and of course Mr. James Haskell himself.

And what better place to start than right back at episode one and what James' expectations were

for the House of Rugby to come? I think, hopefully giving people a bit of insight actually

from the horse's mouth. It is like a horse's mouth. Obviously a lot of people have to put up with

kind of pundits who haven't played for a long time and I think it'd be nice to share some views

and bits and pieces from the front line or near enough the front line. And just give people

a little bit of insight to what it's like. Are you still in the front line?

Hopefully, but after this podcast, probably be out the door, but then maybe I'll be able to do it all the

time. Unsurprisingly, that didn't last long. Quick prediction just for what it's worth on Wellescold.

Okay. I reckon you answered one in ten of the questions I asked.

You've got some of the bad news. When we talked about setting out the show, we said we wanted to

be informative, we wanted to be fun, but we did not want to be nausey. So much of your questions

are absolutely nausey. If you want to go to nausey, go to that one where they sit in their bedroom

with all the shirts around, chatting absolute rugby chat the whole time. We need a mix here.

We are the rugby show that by default doesn't talk much about rugby, but somehow I hope you'll agree,

it tends to work. When we started, we wanted to give people the chance to see James

for what he really is, to tear down the curtain so to speak. I'm not smug.
