Good morning. Hey, there are a lot of posers in the world.

People who are copying others in the attempt to gain their success.

You know, I blame the personal development world for much of this. There is a bad adage that

keeps being perpetuated that says you should model success. Hey, that's bad advice. This causes people

to try to speak like Tony Robbins or conduct boardroom meetings like Donald Trump

or dress like Mark Zuckerberg or Damon John or treat their staff like Steve Jobs or Jeff Bezos

or attempt PR stunts like Richard Branson or rant at authorities like Mark Cuban and etc.

Success cannot be copied. You absolutely should not model someone else.

It makes you an imposter and a fraud to your authentic self. What you can do is study success.

You see, whenever I interview someone successful, I'm not very interested in what they did.

Often, I'm not even interested in the

particulars of how they did it. I am more interested in the study of what's behind the personality

and their results, the mindset they have, the philosophy that they keep, or their approach,

or their disciplines and attitudes that power that success. I am mostly trying to discover their why behind of why it worked

and how I might make it work for me,

given my philosophy in strengths and objectives.

You cannot copy someone else's success.

You can only study it to discover how to improve your own.
