Well, in our last Searchlight program, we learned a very powerful truth from Romans chapter 6,

and that truth is that our old sinful nature, our old man, was rendered inactive when Jesus died on the cross

for our sins. Our old man is paralyzed and powerless. All it can do now is try to intimidate

us with lies and threats, but it has no power to make us sin. Let's now join Pastor John for the conclusion to this study and learn

how to apply this powerful truth to our lives. Paul says, know this, appreciation, now reckon

appropriation. The figures add up to this. If indeed it's true that my old man was crucified with Christ on the cross,

then I no longer am in bondage to that old sin nature. All he can do is yell at me, but he has

no power over me at all. Figure it out. Add it up. Come to a conclusion yourself based upon these facts.

Thirdly, number three, after appreciation and appropriation. Appropriate it.
