Today, Marvin talks with Atlanta attorney and political strategist Justin Gibney.

In 2012 and 2016, Gibney was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention for Georgia's

5th Congressional District.

He's also co-founder of the AND campaign.

It's a group that aims to bring both biblical values and social justice to politics and the Democratic Party.

Marvin, welcome.

Great to be with you again, Jill.

Marvin, what made you want to sit down with Gibney for an interview?

I guess I have sympathy for people working in hostile environments.

The National Democratic Party has moved so far to the left

that it's hard for a fellow like Justin,

who's a moderate, to actually exist within it.

Yet he is persevering.

So how has he distinguished himself from the Democratic Party?

Number one is the Christian understanding that he has. And again, lots of Democrats are Christians.

The National Party, though, is committed to a lot of very unchristian things, obviously abortion, but many other things as well.

So when Justin talks about the need to have a biblical base in politics, the need for love

and truth, compassion and righteousness, that's sadly unusual in the party today. And this is not, again, to disparage at all,
