Today we'll hear Marvin's 2012 interview with Dr. Ben Carson.

Carson is now serving as the Trump administration's Secretary of HUD,

or Housing and urban development.

But Carson is still a political novice.

He spent most of his career in medicine.

Carson was the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland from 1984 until his retirement in 2013.

He performed the only successful separation of twins conjoined at the back of the head.

He also performed the first successful neurosurgical procedure on an unborn baby.

Carson has written numerous books, including the bestseller, Gifted Hands.

That book later became a movie about his life.

But he wasn't a household name until he

gave a speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast. That catapulted him to conservative fame

and paved the way for a presidential run in 2016. After he dropped out of the race, he quickly

threw his support behind Donald Trump.
