Tonight we are on Season 6 of episode 13. This is Secret Santa, as you may know from the show title

and this originally aired on December 10, 2009. It was directed by Randall Einhorn,

written by Mindy Kayling and an interesting note of fact, on the Wikipedia here,

the featured music, which is a very rare occurrence on the office,

Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day. As we all know,

tonight we will just go back about a month and a few days to the Christmas spirit

and enjoy the Secret Santa. Another interesting note on the Wikipedia here,

the night the episode premiered, it was immediately followed by an episode of 30 Rock

with the same name. I think it's interesting that you know Park and all, you know what,

a lot of the Mike Shore shows, which would include, I mean, this is a great day and I'll show it,

Mike Shore wrote on it, Parks and Rec. I think Brooklyn I-9 is more recent but continues to have

a lot of relevance. 30 Rock for some reason does not, I don't know. I know 30 Rock continues to be

well regarded and, you know, it definitely has its fans but I would say that in modern pop culture,

Parks and Rec is more prevalent and more, I wonder if 30 Rock was just too sharp of comedy,

whereas the office of Parks and Rec were just slightly more broad because I wouldn't say they weren't

as sharp, you know, interesting. I would have to see if there's a little bit of exploration on that.

I think 30 Rock is also maybe a little bit older, maybe only by year or two because I would put,

I would put that in the same category as a rest of development where they're absolutely still

major fans of rest of development but it's not as widely popular, interesting food for
