Hello there, Dunder Mifflinites, and welcome back to another episode of the Office ASMR,

a podcast to help you relax and fall asleep to one of the great shows on television.

I wouldn't even just say our generation, any generation.

Tonight we're on season 5, episode 16, no no no, this is episode 17, this is part 2 of

a lecture circuit. As we discussed last time, both episodes were directed by Ken

Cooper's written by Mindy Kayling. This one aired February 12th, so week after the

previous one. It's an interesting split in the episodes because at this point, you

know, between season 4 and 5, the show was no stranger to supersized episodes like fun

and run, or we just had stress relief was, and you know, essentially a double episode.

But for some reason, this one is, or even like traveling salesmen, where you had evasions

that were tightly intertwined in their storyline, but you know, two discrete independent episodes,

where this one, we have an actual part 1 and a part 2, which was split up by 2 B continued,

which, you know, there was a bit of a cliffhanger in the last episode, they leave the Utica branch

and they say they're going to go to Nashua because Michael wants closure, which he didn't

get with Holly, and of course, Holly went to Nashua. It's interesting, we actually get

a, you know, previously on the office in a quick recap of the last episode where, you know,

Michael's at the branch, he does his conference room meeting. There's a little, there's a little

bit of the Karen Pam thing of, you know, House Jim, where engaged Karen's pregnant, of

course, and Michael reflecting on, you know, Holly, it's crazy how much you can cram into

30 seconds for a 30 minute episode where we could, all right, Pam's, Pam says they're off,

and they said that, essentially, that becomes the cold open, is the recap. I don't ever remember

that happening in a previous episode, nor does it happen again. So interesting note on the
