Would you turn please this morning to a couple of scriptures?

Would you go to 1 Peter, the second chapter, and then also Proverbs the third chapter?

1 Peter 2 and Proverbs 3.

Now for several weeks we have been ministering on the subject of the offerings of the Lord.

And we are continuing on that.

Let's read our text again.

1 Peter 2.5.

He says, you also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

The Amplified says, come and like living stones, be yourselves built into a spiritual house for a holy, dedicated, consecrated priesthood to offer up those spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.

So we have been made a holy priesthood.

Now, so many times that hadn't been a reality, but are we kings and priests unto our God?

The Bible very plainly says that we've been made so.

Well, what is a priest? If we're priests, what is a priest?

And what does a priest do? Well, you'd have to go back to the Old Testament to get revelation

of the priesthood that God established in the First Covenant. And even though we don't have the

priesthood just like that, well, that

was a type of what we do have.

And to understand the reality, you know, we ought not neglect our Old Testament because it's

full of beautiful types that you and I are to be living in now.

You've got the type and you've got the real thing, the antotype.

So what does a priest do?
