And now really quick, Lindsay and I spent a bit of time here before we sat down today,

today being January 24th, crafting a statement

regarding some recent events that Lindsay will read so we can make sure that we say what we

meant to say. So before we get into today's stories, we want to acknowledge the very heavy,

very real world terrors we are all seeing play out these days.

We know scared to death isn't a political show.

We gather here for tales of monsters and hauntings and stories that live just on the edge of belief.

We come here as a really unique, really special community of people.

And, like a lot of you, we've seen the videos recently out of

Minnesota and elsewhere that we can't unsee. Watching people be shot. Watching explanations

that ask us not to trust our own eyes. Watching families terrified in their own neighborhoods.

It is frightening in a way that has nothing to do

with ghosts or with demons. And we're not here to argue policy or tell any of you what to believe.

We just want to say that our hearts are with every person who is scared right now. We are with the
