a strike from the International Longshoremen's Association, 45,000 dock workers at 36 U.S.

ports from Maine to Texas.

They handle half of the country's imports.

The deadline for the new contract is October 1st.

If there is a strike, the price of almost everything will go up.

The union wants higher wages and a total ban on the automation of cranes, gates, and container movements.

Four people were murdered 18 injured.

In Birmingham, Alabama, there was a shooting in the party district part of town.
