Thank you, Bill. It is Friday, August 1st. You heard that right, August 1st, 2025. Here's what's happening today in America.

Deadline passes, arguing to the appeals court, major turbulence, and massive ballroom.

It's all coming up, and Bill's going to be here with your message today.

But first, President Trump issued an executive order yesterday, increasing tariffs on many

countries around the world, but they will go into effect in seven days, not today, as was anticipated.

Some countries facing very high rates,

Laos, Myanmar, 40%, Syria at 41%, 40% on Brazil. This is all on top of the 10% baseline tariff. So I mean, some of these countries are at 50%. Trump announced also a new 35% tariff on Canada and a 25% tariff on India. The countries not

listed in the executive order have a 10% tariff, that baseline tariff. Trump also said that

United States of Mexico has agreed to extend their current tariff agreement for 90 days.

Meanwhile, a federal court of appeals asked questions to the government's

lawyers if the president even has the power to impose tariffs at all. The 11 judges on the U.S.

Court of Appeals for the federal circuit heard arguments in the Trump administration's appeal of a

ruling from a trade-focused lower court that found the president did not have the authority to hit foreign

nations with 10% tariffs under what's called the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

But who now is denying the incredible things that have come from them?

Major turbulence on a Delta flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam.

Service carts flying in the air,

passengers hitting the ceiling. They had to make an emergency landing in Minnesota. 25 people were taken to the hospital. One passenger said, I truly thought the plane was going down. Someone said I was

lifted out of my seat for 30 seconds. One woman said there was a little girl across the aisle

who was terrified.

She's screaming, we're going to die. We're going to die. I was trying to keep her calm,
