But first, the president last night said that based on conversations with the Prime Minister of Pakistan,

wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the complete immediate and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

I have agreed to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks.

This will be a double-sided ceasefire.

The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all military objectives and are very far along with the definitive agreement concerning long-term peace with Iran and peace in the Middle East.

We received a 10-point proposal from Iran and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate.

Almost all the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran,

but a two-week period will allow the agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America as president and also representing

the countries in the Middle East, it is an honor to have this long-term problem close to resolution.

Intel reports are saying that the new Ayatollah is, quote, incapacitated and receiving medical treatment. He is in severe condition

and is, quote, unable to be involved in any decision making by the regime. He is currently

being treated in the largest city in Iran, 85 miles south of Tehran. An illegal alien is charged

with murder after beating to death a gas station clerk in Fort Myers, Florida.

He is a Haitian illegal alien who was caught and released on our border in 2022 under the Biden

administration. An immigration judge ordered him deported later that year, but Homeland Security

then gave him a temporary protected status, which still expired in 2024. He of course stayed here. The Haitian

hit a car with a hammer. The clerk came outside to see what was going on when he ran up to her
