Summary
WARNING! Shat The Movies has hit peak adorable, just in time for the holidays, with its first kid-friendly episode: "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
Listener Emmett in Orange decided to reach across the globe to play Santa after hearing young listener Brody calling in from Belfast, Ireland, with one precious question: Is "The Nightmare Before Christmas" a Christmas movie or a Halloween movie?
With that, Emmett gifted Brody a Shat The Movies review of the Tim Burton's stop-motion masterpiece and set in motion the most heart-warming winter miracle we've ever witnessed on the podcast. It made Roger clean up his language, made Gene watch a kids movie, and made Big D update his holiday film collection with something more recent than 1970.
But this review isn't all holiday cheer. The Shat boys uncover hints of racial exclusion, questionable lyrics, underrepresented holidays, and an obvious lack of a quality screenplay.
