Yes, it did come into play. We have a short season.

It's almost a quarter of the way already and we raised the bar early on.

I addressed the team this morning and I felt there was a change need to be made

and that's when I made my final decision. Yes, to answer your question is yes.

Elliott any time a coach gets fired, the first question is always why?

Clod Julian was the headline story on Wednesday as was Dom Dusharm,

as was Kirk Muller, as was Alex Burrows.

And in the middle of it was the gentleman you just heard from

and that's Habs General Manager Mark Berger van.

But to the original question, why fire Clod Julian?

Well, I think there's a couple of things that play here and we showed a board

on our Wednesday night show, Jeff, where how much money the top spending team

spent last year. And number one was the Montreal Canadians,

102 and a half million, two and a half ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights.

And what I should have pointed out that night, I just forgot is that that's US dollars.

So it's not just that you're spending 100 million plus.

You're spending it in US dollars with no ticket revenue coming in.

You go through sports and I always take out the NFL because it's such a financial

jog or not. I don't think you can compare the other leagues to it.

But go through Major League Baseball, how many of those owners are spending?
