So we are coming up on a week since the NFL schedule was unveiled.

And I was reading something a little bit earlier today.

Just some of the oddities associated with the NFL schedule that I am sure we have not talked about at this point.

The Patriots actually have a bizarre scheduling quirk that the NFL hasn't seen in 40 years.

They have last year, if you recall, the easiest schedule in the NFL. The Patriots get a reality check in 2026. Their first four opponents have a combined strength of schedule

of 721, which is the highest of any team that's faced teams like that in the first

four weeks since the 1986 Eagles. To make things worse, the Patriots have to play three of

those first four games on the road. Now, this is based on win percentage last year, and I've told

you many times before, basing it on win percentage last year, and I've told you many times before,

basing it on win percentage last year is dangerous. It's even not that safe to base it on the

win totals projected for the upcoming season. But the Patriots open up at Seattle, then have

Pittsburgh at home, and then at Jacksonville, at Buffalo.

Their first three games are against division winners from last year.

That's the first time that's happened in six years,

where a team has opened up its season against teams that won the division for three straight weeks to open up this season.

Other oddities, I think we talked a little bit about this,

but the Rams are going to play seven prime time games,

which is tied for the most in NFL history, with the 2023

bills, the 2025 Chiefs, and the 2025 Ravens. The Rams, actually, if you don't know this,

listen to the beginning of their schedule. It is insanity.
