So the international games next year are in Melbourne, Australia, Rio in Brazil, Paris, Mexico City,

Munich, Madrid, and then three in London. So nine international games in which we are already,

and have been, over the past few weeks weeks getting information on the teams that will either

play each other in some of these games or will be the host in some of these games.

Just FYI, next year is the year in which the NFC has nine scheduled home games,

eight scheduled road games.

And typically many of the hosts of these international games take up one of their home games

to be the host, so they end up having only eight true home games rather than nine.

So week one, we now know that the Rams and the 49ers will play the first ever game in

Australia, Melbourne, Australia.

The date of that game will be determined over the next few months, but it may be the first

game of the season played on Wednesday night, September 9th, which would be the night

before the season typically opens with the Super Bowl champions playing at home. That would be

Seattle this year. Seattle may open up on Wednesday night, and the Melbourne game may be Thursday

night. I think scheduling is an issue, but the point here is they got to give the Rams and 49ers plenty of time

to get back and acclimate before week two. They can't play that game on a Sunday in week one

and then have them come back and play even the following Monday night as, say, a part of a double

header because they can't play each other in back-to-back weeks. But that's one international

matchup that's already been determined, and it looks like it's going to be week one. Rams

hosting the 49ers. For the 49ers, that means one of their true road games won't be a true

road game. But you get that every year with the team that isn't the team in the
