Hello, do you remember that old radio show, what the papers say when they got actors

to read out headlines?

I'm going to revive it briefly.

Self-catering breaks could be allowed from Easter, says the Sunday Times.

The mirror says, grandparents could see grandkids again next month in Covid lockdown real

change.

Then, the mail on Sunday said, back in the pub garden by Easter, PM's new roadmap will

scrap 10pm curfew in substantial meal requirements.

And then the daily mail today said, now it's ready, steady shop.

High street shops will be allowed to reopen within weeks if Covid infection rates keep

dropping.

Now, the reason I've done that is because we're going to have to get used to headlines

like that for the next few days, because the government is still in the roadmap formulation

stage where it's discussing the options for how to start lifting the lockdown in England,

which the Prime Minister will then present to us all in public next Monday.

But because the discussions are still being had and things are leaking out, you get lots

of speculative headlines and we just don't know if any of those things will end up being

true.

Although one, I can confirm definitely is true because I got told it today.

The substantial meal thing for pubs serving alcohol has gone forever because the government

does not want another three-day national debate about whether a scotch egg is a substantial
