how we think about music. Yeah, this is not a podcast where we tell you what music to listen to

or we necessarily comment on what's happening in the culture right now or what you should be listening

to tomorrow before your friends do. This is a podcast about thinking about music even when it's not

playing. Yeah, how does music shape the world you see around you, the world you feel around you?

How does it make you feel about yourself? Yeah, particularly if the music that makes you feel

things about yourself is steely-gan or black-set or radio-head. Yeah, that happens. That comes up a lot.

David, Trump, adjacent political-gad-fly Roger Stone, deep breath after that, was sentenced to

40 months in prison on Thursday. What I want to know is how did news outlets decide whether to use

40 months or three years and four months? My guess based on absolutely nothing is that it was,

I didn't even read the verdict or anything. My guess is that the verdict was handed down in terms

of months and the outlets that are converting it into years are doing us a favor. They're

believe themselves to be converting it to metric for us or whatever, but I don't know which one of

those sounds longer. That's what I was going to ask. Because if you're Fox News, right, you're going to

pick the one that sounds more draconian. To be said, Trump will then let him off or do you pick the

one that sounds smaller because that sounds like less of a pen? I think you picked the one that's

more draconian. Actually, I don't know. I could go either way. I'm trying to think, because three

years, four months sounds, I feel like sounds longer, but 40 is like a bit number. I mean, I guess if
