This is not even the trial of the century.

This is the biggest trial in NASCAR history. And that is not an exaggeration in any way, shape, or form. Well, that's the scene. So we're... My name is Jeff Gluck. I'm along with Jordan Bianchi. We are two motorsports writers for the athletic, which is a sports website for those who don't know.

And I'm saying this in basic terms because I imagine that we might have some people checking

this out for the first time.

There might be people that aren't used to.

They don't know what the tear down is.

They don't know.

They don't watch NASCAR races, but they are here because they heard about

this Michael Jordan suing NASCAR, what's going on in federal court, all this stuff.

And so this is going to be sort of an intro setup piece to the weeks to come.

We think weeks unless there's some sort of settlement in the middle of the trial.

But here on Sunday night, as we record this, I have flown to Charlotte, North Carolina.

And we are here in the Annex Dirty Mo Studios, which is my hotel room, a few blocks from the courthouse, where we will be

coming to you with daily podcasts each night after the weekdays of the trial. The trial is expected

to last 10 to 12 days, I guess, plus the jury deliberations. So we don't know how long we'll be here, Jordan. I don't have a return flight home. You're not moving in with me. I refuse. That is not happening. You're not. There's no way, shape, or form. You were ever coming to live with me for any length of time. What is the maximum stay that legally you can stay in a hotel before they kick you out?
