Summary
When Ariel’s young niece moved to Florida, the family didn’t think much about her developing imaginary friends.
The little girl talked about them constantly—playing games together, cooking together, spending time together the way children often do with imaginary companions. At first, it all seemed harmless.
Until one morning during a phone call, the child casually announced that she had killed them. The comment immediately unsettled everyone, mostly because of how calm and matter-of-fact she sounded while saying it.
But the truly disturbing part came the next morning. Because when Ariel’s sister turned on the news, she discovered that two people matching the exact names her daughter had been using for her “imaginary friends” had just been murdered nearby… in the same way the child had already described.
