Earlier this year we started exploring urban myths and urban legends from different

states in our great nation and I wanted to get back to that for a little while because

there's one state in particular that we overlook pretty often.

Alaska. Seward's Folly.

And if you're not familiar with the phrase Seward's Folly,

it relates to a former U. former US Secretary of State, originally

under Abraham Lincoln, named William Seward, who bought Alaska for something like

seven cents an acre and everyone said that it was the biggest bust deal

that the US has ever made and it turned out to be the greatest deal since the

Louisiana Purchase.
