Folks, nothing really new in this case of the missing University of Pittsburgh student,

Suddickshire Konanke and that gentleman next to what Joshua Reby.

The only thing that is really new overnight is that Sudeccia's family has filed papers to declare her dead at this point.

Sort of said, I don't know if you could say they're giving up too soon or they're just trying to get

closure to this, but it's really a very sad situation.

The parents are missing college students, Siddishka Kanaki,

are asking authorities in the Dominican Republic that she be officially declared dead,

nearly two weeks after she went missing.

This is according to CNN while on a spring break in Punta Kana.

Meanwhile,

the last person believed to have seen her all lives is asking a court to grant him his freedom,

challenging authorities treatment of him since the 20-year-old woman's disappearance on March 6th.

Investigators believe Kanaki drowned and no evidence of foul play has been found,

according to the parents of Kananke.

They wrote in a letter to the government of the Dominican Republic,

and they provided that to the media outlets.

Given these circumstances, and after much deliberation,

her parents request that the police department proceed with the legal declaration of her death.
