How did you, Dom? In 1981, six young people in the village of Medjugoria in Bosnia, Herzegovina,

began reporting visions of the Virgin Mary.

Today, 43 years later, the visions are still ongoing, and in the interim,

Medjugoria became phenomenally popular. As many as 3 million people visit the site every year,

but there's also been a long-running controversy about

the apparitions and whether they are real. In September of this year, 24, the Holy See

finally announced a long anticipated decision on the site. So, what did the Vatican rule? What

practical implications does it have? And are the apparitions

at Medjugoria genuinely supernatural? That's what we'll be talking about on this episode of

Jimmy Aiken's mysterious world. Jimmy, how are we going to be handling this mystery?

Today's episode is the first part of a three-part look at the mystery of

Medjugoria. In this episode, we're going to be looking at the background of the mystery,

including how the apparitions started and the kind of messages they produced. Next week, we're
