If you're new to the church, we're going through the book of John. We're going through a series entitled,

Revealing the Mystery. And we're talking about revealing the mystery of Jesus, who Jesus was and who Jesus is, through the eyes of the Apostle John and John is a very

unbelievable book. It's different from Matthew, Mark, and Luke. It all he records the first two

years of his life. Matthew Mark, first two years of his ministry life, let me say it that way,

and Matthew, Mark, and Luke only record the third year of Jesus' ministry.

So it's really, really amazing. I've been waiting for John 8 because

John 8 is a wonderful, wonderful story. There are even unchurched people that

know one line out of John 8 what he said to a woman and that's what

we're going to focus on the first 11 verses although we'll pick up a few others.

But John 8 is the mystery of forgiveness.

And I want you to understand that a lot of people struggle in the area of forgiveness.

And so I'm going to help you in that area tonight.

Now, my wife and I grew up in the same town, same church, same school, but I didn't

know her until I was a junior in high school. She knew of me because I was a very bad person. We were actually

in the same fifth grade class, but again I didn't know her because she was a goody goody

and I'm grateful and but I was a badty badty.

And so I grew up doing everything wrong.

She grew up doing everything right.

She of course now there's another big difference. She was saved and I wasn't, you know, she got saved at nine. I got saved at 19. And she's just a great wonderful girls. Matter of fact, her, when she told me after we were getting dating,

we were talking about something.

I forgot how it came up, but she said, I can't go outside the city limits.

And I said, what do you mean you can't go outside the city limits?
