grocery store she worked at in Mendota, Illinois at 107 a.m. She was supposed to be working

the night shift, but still battling with some sort of illness that had already caused her to call out of work in the days before.

She couldn't soldier through any longer and decided to leave early and go home to sleep.

Living just four blocks away, Veronica got into her car, parked in the detached garage and at some point between closing up the garage door and walking to the entrance of her home,

disappeared and was never seen nor heard from ever again.

Her mother woke up at 2 a.m. and saw Veronica's car parked in the garage.
