I'm talking about someone who in just three verses in the book of Genesis made such an impact

The history reverberated into the New Testament

I'm talking about Melchizedek

He was a priest a king and

Of an order of priesthood totally separate from what Israel had known

So let's head back we'll head back to Abraham and he's still Abram at this point

Abraham would become the father of the Israelites and this nation was going to bless the entire world

These were God's chosen people Abraham's name is all over the Bible

So we're with him and we're catching up with Abram right after he had to rescue his nephew a lot

You'll remember a lot from the story of Sodom and Gomorrah
