In 2013, two giant sculptures of Kelpies were installed in Scotland.

The horses stand 30 metres in height,

making them the largest equine sculptures in the world.

But they aren't horses, though they look like them.

They are kelpies, shape-shifting fairies.

In ancient Scots law, kelpies take the form of a horse horse but they can shape-shift into giant hairy men although they always retain their hooves they are similar to the glastigs of scotland

when they appear in human form they jump out at lone travellers on deserted paths and crush them to death. In 2017, Heather McEwen reported a UFO sighting over the Helpy sculptures.

Heather, an amateur photographer, believes she captured images of the object hovering over the giant fairies. She didn't know this at the time.

It was only later when she was reviewing the photo she'd taken that she noticed something strange,

a cross-shaped object in the sky to the right of the head of one of the kelpies.

She said, I hadn't noticed anything unusual as I was using a Sony compact

camera and don't have the best eyesight, and I was concentrating rather intently on keeping my

hand steady and trying to get the picture central as I clicked away. Well, when she returned home,

it wasn't until the following day, when she was showing her

daughter the photos, that she spotted the object.

She said I took the camera to Asda and had the picture blown up.

The image of the cross appears in only one of the photos.

When Heather contacted the long-established Beams, British Earth and Aerial Mystery Society,

they asked to send them all of the negatives she'd

taken.

Beams studied the negatives and eventually concluded that it was not a drone or plane, nor was

it a reflection on the camera.
