Summary

The gil Perez folk legends holds that in October of 1593 a soldier of the Spanish Empire (named Gil Perez in a 1908 version) was mysteriously transported from his guard duty in Manila in the Philippines to the Plaza Mayor (now the Zocalo) in Mexico City. The soldier's claim was disbelieved by the Mexicans until his account of the assassination of Gomez Perez Dasmannanas was verified two months later by passengers on a ship from Manila. Other stories include tales of similar paranormal events and a short brief on a successful teleportation experiment done in 2017.
