Despite her frantic 911 call reporting the break-in and a subsequent call about gunshots, police failed to enter her apartment, leaving her body undiscovered for two days; her tragic story inspired the 1992 horror film Candyman.

1:06.4	And then we're in the bathroom together.
1:08.2	You know, just kind of getting ready before the big show.
1:10.9	And I sort of started singing Pink Pony Club.
1:13.8	And then you're like, oh, no, and you told me the story.
