Summary

Lynette Dawson was last seen alive in Sydney, Australia in 1982. She and her husband Chris Dawson had been having marriage trouble at the time. Chris was a high-school teacher who seemed to have a penchant for preying on teenage girls. He moved a student of his, named Joanne Curtis, into his home with Lyn under the guise of Joanne being a babysitter. Chris was 34 at the time and Joanne was 16.

Days after Lyn disappeared, Joanne Curtis moved into the Dawson home permanently. Chris soon after married Joanne. Joanne had Lyn’s engagement and wedding rings resized to fit her.

Chris seemed to get away with the perfect crime for over 40 years. In 2018, Chris was finally charged with Lyn’s murder. He is now 74 years old. In August 2022, a judge found him guilty and Chris is awaiting sentencing.

Will he reveal where he hid Lyn’s body or will he take that secret to the grave?
