In emergency situations, seconds can mean the difference between life and death,

which is why paramedics were baffled when on an October night in Phoenix,

a woman called Wendy refused to let them into her apartment to help her husband.

She had been the one who'd actually called 911,

but right now in this moment she had seemingly changed her mind.

When paramedics were called to return a little while later,

what they found was a man covered in blood with multiple stab wounds, and Wendy's story just wasn't adding up.

Honestly, recommend to any true crime fan, if you're interested in criminology, it really is, there's so much to learn,

and you also get to kind of just discuss true crime in cases with experts.

Like, I'll just sort of come up to my teachers afterwards and be like, hey, let's unpack.

Like, get me alone.

But it is so good to be able, you know, it's so fun and also very serious and important.

And kind of like you said earlier, particularly as a woman, it's very, I think, empowering

to know some of this stuff.
