| 0:31.0 | The driver of the car bumped from Nudge to the victim with his vehicle and she stepped out of the way. |
| 0:36.0 | And as she stepped out of the way, she took a mace can and fired some mace and into the interior portion of the car. |
| 0:42.0 | Apparently hitting the driver, even if she did, fired the mace gun into the car, striking the driver, |
| 0:47.0 | stepped out of the way that the driver had an option to drive away, call the police and then prosecute the victim. |
| 0:52.0 | But he elected to do something on his own. |
| 0:55.0 | It was April 1st, 1991, and three friends, Damon Parker, Stephanie Buffington and Cynthia Priolo, |
| 1:04.0 | were walking across North Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, headed for a shopping center on Ponce, D'Lion, Avenue. |
| 1:12.0 | That center was anchored by a Kruger supermarket. |
| 1:16.0 | They hadn't planned on going into the store itself. |
| 1:19.0 | Its parking lot was just a convenient cut-through. |
| 1:24.0 | But after that night, they all, most especially Cynthia, would be associated with it. |
| 1:31.0 | Their shortcut meant that they walked with traffic streaming around them, cars heading toward or away from the store. |
| 1:39.0 | Here, Damon and Stephanie in separate interviews described what happened as they crossed that lot. |
| 1:47.0 | We were coming from behind, which was North Avenue. |
| 1:50.0 | We came through the back parking lot, and we were going all the way to Ponce, D'Lion, coming from the back. |
| 1:55.0 | Were you in the back when you first encountered the car? |
| 1:58.0 | No, we were actually on the side. We had just come up to the front. |
| 2:02.0 | Basically, there was a loading dock, and then there was a little street that kind of came to the front of it. |
| 2:07.0 | And we were right there towards the front of it. We were still on the side. |
