Happy NBA Finals Eve to everyone.

John and I want to go back, take a look at some of our pre-playoffs predictions, see where we went right, where we went wrong.

And then also we're going to talk about some of our most intriguing free agents and trade candidates here as we start to get into that season.

So let's just rehash here, John.

We can even go through series by series to look at it if you remember what your predictions

were.

I think I remember what mine were.

First off, who did you have in the finals?

I had Phoenix in Boston.

And I had Golden State and Milwaukee, although I foolishly changed my Golden State pick to Dallas before that series.

So I actually was smarter at the start of the playoffs than I was after seeing it two rounds worth of basketball.

So yeah, I don't know what that says.

Exactly. Maybe I'm better at the long view.

What did you see in Boston at the time that made you think that they were going to get here?

Because you didn't know at that point that Chris Middleton was going to get hurt.

Correct.

What did you see that made you think Boston was going to get here?

I just thought their depth of quality to have seven

true playoff caliber players to choose from in their mix. I thought it made them more resilient

to injuries, which inevitably happened to all these teams. And I thought their, I thought their

defense was just so solid that they'd be able to stand up even against,

you know, going against Durant, Janice, Butler, back to back to back.
