The Gospel is the good news of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ,

but it is only good news to those who hear it.

Every believer is to go with the Gospel.

Today, we study with Scott Pauling what God's Word teaches about becoming a more

effective witness for Christ.

Saved people love talking about it. That's why a brand new believer is usually one of the most effective witnesses.

Dr. Robertson used to say, most Christians do more witnessing in the first six months after they get saved

and they do the rest of their Christian life combined.

That's sad but true because they're just so excited about being saved and how they came to Christ that they want others to know.

I want to say to you, that shouldn't just be true of new believers.

That should be true of all believers.

As a matter of fact, the Apostle Paul repeatedly gave his salvation testimony throughout his life.

Even when he stood before kings, his standard message was always

about how he met the Lord Jesus on that road to Damascus and his life was changed. Of all the things

he could have talked about, every time he was permitted to speak for himself, he just went back

and shared his story. Psalm 107, verse 2 says, let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Now, we're talking about

how to give your Christian testimony. And we've talked already about the most difficult part.

The most difficult thing to talk about is your life before you came to know Jesus Christ.

And that's where you have to begin. You have to begin not only where you were, but where the people you're talking to are.

And explain to them that you too were lost, that everybody needs a Savior, and everybody needs to know eternal life through Jesus Christ.

But now we come to the second part of a good testimony.
