When scrolling through Canadian news stories over a morning coffee, I found myself face to face with what could only be described as the most controversial garden in St. Catherine's Ontario

This particular garden, despite its vibrant colors and tastefully selected blossoms, is the venue for a battle between the homeowners, a neighbor, and the town's by-law enforcement officers

The problem has nothing to do with the flowers that grow there, the entire issue surrounds the unique choice of a garden planter

When Christina and Matt designed their garden, they started by purchasing two large wooden coffins, placing them in their yard and filling them with soil

And as it turned out, a neighbor didn't share the same taste and aesthetics

A complaint to by-law enforcement would begin the most interesting garden or by-law enforcement story, the town of St. Catherine's Ontario has ever seen
