This is a story by an author named W.W. Jacobs. He died in

1943. It's a famous story, but I'm shocked always at the number of people that either didn't

have to read it in school or never came across it. It's a story that teaches us about tempting

fate and being careful what we wish for.

And the name of the story is, the monkey's paw.
