And on this week's episode, we're going to be talking about the 2007 film, The Mist,

based on a story by Stephen King, directed by Frank Deribant, and starring Thomas Jane,

Marsha Gay Hardin, Nathan Gamble, and Sam Whitwer. In this film, A Mysterious Mist takes over a small small town capturing a group of survivors in a supermarket

where they must battle monsters both inside and outside the store.

We'll just review the background in the film, then we'll take a quick break and jump into the plot, the spoilers,

and our review. Brian, I believe you had seen this film before, correct?

Yep, I've seen it at least once before, but it had been a while, so I was excited to

re-watch it when you chose it. Yeah, same for me. I think I saw it only in theaters. Had you seen it outside of theaters yet?

I, no, I never saw it in theaters, I don't think. I think I saw it at home a couple years after.

Okay, cool. And were you familiar with the story growing up?

No, I wasn't. It was a novella written in 1980, but no, I was not familiar. Were you?

Yeah, I read this one a long time ago it was one of my favorite Stephen King stories um so yeah I was I was really excited that this

got made into a film um have you read it yet no I still have not read it okay cool uh yeah it's

I think it's like worth a read.

And I know like we've reviewed his other films and talked about him a bunch.
