Summary

From a small missionary house in rural Puerto Rico to her own quiet bedroom decades later, she’s been haunted not by what she’s seen—but by what she’s heard. First came the unmistakable scrape and drop of chairs being moved in the dead of night, in a locked home where no one else was inside. Years later, the ghostly combination of human snoring and crochet needles clicking—sounds that could only belong to her mother—filled her room, even though her mother was still alive. And then, after watching The Conjuring 2, the most terrifying experience of all: two nights of thunderous dragging and knocking from an attic that should have been empty. Three separate encounters, each chilling in their own way, and together, a reminder that sometimes, the unseen makes itself known through the things we can’t help but hear.

0:28.3	Hi, this is Laura. I'm calling from Idaho. I have three stories that I think are pretty
0:35.9	interesting. The first one happened to me in 1991. I was a Mormon
0:41.8	missionary, actually, in Puerto Rico. And my companion and I lived in a small home in the country,
0:49.8	and we had two twin beds, and really the only furniture we had other than that was a small table and two little chairs kind of out in our sitting room.
0:59.3	That's basically about it.
1:01.5	And one night in the summer of 91, we were both awakened by the sound of one of those little chairs out in the little sitting room being dragged across the floor,
1:13.8	like at length, like probably a 15-second drag and then picked up and dropped.
1:19.6	At this point, we had both woken, awakened, and it happened a second time.
1:25.3	It got dragged for several seconds and picked up and dropped.
1:29.4	We were in another room so we didn't see it.
1:31.4	We just could tell what it was.
1:33.5	And so she said, she called my name and said, do you hear that?
1:37.4	And I said, yes, what is going on?
1:39.1	And she said, I don't know.
1:41.2	And then it happened a third time.
1:43.5	A chair was, you could just tell what it was.
1:46.2	It was a chair being dragged by something and picked up and dropped.
1:50.6	At this point, I summoned some courage and I went out and looked out in the doorway at the table and chairs and saw nothing unusual.
