This is the movement of the Holy Family, leading people to Jesus through friendship, good

0:10.3

conversation, and the Rosary.

0:16.4

So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

0:20.3

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for, especially offering this rosary, praying for great blessings to fall upon Steve and Sue Sharp on their 40th wedding anniversary, two great people.

0:40.3

And we continue to pray for the healing of Olivia Caneli and for little Thomas Lauer,

0:46.3

who is struggling with stomach cancer for his complete healing and recovery.

1:36.2

But that makes marriage about use, using the other as a means to happiness and to avoid loneliness.

1:43.1

And how many times have we heard someone say,

1:45.8

I don't want to be unhappy the rest of my life, so I'm getting a divorce.

1:50.8

But these young people were shocked to find out what the real purpose of marriage is,

1:57.7

that it's to be sent on a mission from God, to cooperate valiantly with the love of the

2:03.8

Creator, and to have children and teach them to become saints so that God can build up his

2:09.8

own family. But the purpose of marriage is to be sent on a mission from God. Listen to what the catechism says.

2:20.5

Holy orders and matrimony are directed toward the salvation of others.
