This is the movement of the Holy Family, meeting people to Jesus through friendship, good conversation and the Rosary.

So, welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

I'm especially offering this rosary this evening for the repose of the soul of Ralph Meese, a great man with a great group of sons.

We continue to offer this for the healing of little Olivia Canili and for little five-year-old Thomas

Lauer who is suffering and recovering we pray from cancer.

Now today we continue to reflect on the teaching of Jesus and the sermon on the

mount. In Matthew chapter 5, Jesus says,

If your right hand should cause you to sin, tear it out, and throw it away.

But it will do you less harm to lose one part of you

than have your whole body thrown into hell. And if your right hand should cause you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.

Or it will do you less harm to lose one part of you

than to have your whole body go to hell. So here Jesus affirms the reality of

hell and the possibility of going there by one's own free choice. The

catacism says that the teaching of Jesus on this subject of hell is a call

to the responsibility incumbent upon all of us to make use of our freedom and view of our eternal destiny.

It is at the same time an urgent call to conversion.

A little later on in the Sermon on the Mount Jesus will say,

Enter by the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction.

And those who enter by it are many, for the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life.

And those who find it are few.
